Abstract
This article analyzes the didactic possibilities of developing oral communication competence in the Russian language through the use of generative artificial intelligence tools. In modern education, foreign language teaching is focused not only on forming grammatical knowledge but also on developing students’ ability to express their ideas freely in real communicative situations, improve listening skills, and enhance oral speech. The study examines the potential of generative artificial intelligence in creating an individual learning environment, organizing continuous communication, analyzing pronunciation and grammatical errors, and expanding vocabulary. The article also proposes a five-stage methodological model for teaching Russian based on artificial intelligence, which includes dialogue-based communication, pronunciation development, vocabulary reinforcement, situational tasks, and assessment of learning outcomes. The research results demonstrate that generative artificial intelligence tools can serve as an effective supplementary pedagogical resource for developing students’ communicative competence.
