Abstract
This article discusses the impact of environmental problems on human health and the current issues related to thyroid gland diseases. Factors such as air pollution, harmful substances in water, radiation, chemical waste, and iodine deficiency are analyzed as the main causes of thyroid dysfunction. The article also provides detailed information about the functions of the thyroid gland, symptoms of hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, goiter, and thyroid cancer, as well as their negative effects on human health. In addition, the importance of environmental protection, consumption of iodized products, healthy nutrition, regular medical examinations, and the development of environmental awareness for disease prevention is emphasized.
