Abstract

This article discusses the pedagogical foundations of the formation of independent learning competence in primary school students, its importance in the modern educational process, and effective methods and technologies for its development. During the study, the impact of the competency approach, person-centered education, problem-based learning, project method, use of information and communication technologies, and reflective activity on students' independent learning skills was analyzed. Also, factors that hinder the development of independent learning competence in primary education were identified and scientific and practical recommendations were developed to eliminate them.

The results of the study are of practical importance for primary school teachers, methodologists, master's students, and scientific researchers in the field of pedagogy.
