Abstract

This article examines the opportunities and effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence in English language learning. The rapid development of digital technologies has introduced new approaches to foreign language education and expanded the possibilities of traditional teaching methods. AI-powered educational tools can provide personalized learning, identify grammatical and lexical errors, improve pronunciation, facilitate conversational practice, and support writing development. The article analyzes the role of Artificial Intelligence in developing the four major language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It also discusses the main challenges associated with AI-assisted language learning, including inaccurate information, excessive technological dependence, academic integrity, and data privacy. The study demonstrates that the purposeful and pedagogically appropriate use of Artificial Intelligence can increase learners’ opportunities for practice, provide immediate feedback, and contribute to more flexible and individualized English language education.
