Abstract
This article analyzes the theoretical and practical stages of studying phraseological units in Uzbek linguistics during the years of independence. It examines lexicographical works, functional-stylistic features of phraseology in folklore, literary texts, and the language of media, as well as methods of component analysis and the linguocultural approach.
