Abstract
The article examines the artistic and socio-psychological characteristics of the father figure in Uzbek folklore, specifically in fairy tales. Using the example of the “Zumrad and Kimmat” tale, the father's role in the family, his lack of will, and the consequences for the children's destinies are analyzed.
